Privacy Notice & Accessibility
How Kendrick Lodge No. 2043 handles personal information submitted through this website, and our approach to privacy, cookies and accessibility.
Last updated: 15 September 2026
1. Who we are
For personal information collected through this website, the data controller is Kendrick Lodge No. 2043 , a Freemasons’ lodge meeting at the Berkshire Masonic Centre, Mole Road, Sindlesham, Berkshire RG41 5EA.
Privacy enquiries and requests concerning information submitted through this website can be made using the Join & Contact form . Please select “General question” and state that your enquiry concerns privacy or data protection.
2. Information we collect
When you use the website enquiry form, we may collect:
- your name;
- your email address;
- the reason for your enquiry;
- the contents of your message; and
- limited technical information generated as part of operating and securing the website and form service.
Please do not include sensitive or special-category personal information in the free-text message unless it is genuinely necessary for your enquiry.
3. Why we use your information and our lawful basis
We use information submitted through the form to receive, assess, respond to and, where appropriate, follow up enquiries about Kendrick Lodge, Freemasonry, visiting, membership, charity or other Lodge matters.
Our principal lawful basis under Article 6 of the UK GDPR is legitimate interests : Kendrick Lodge has a legitimate interest in communicating with people who choose to contact the Lodge and in administering those enquiries. We aim to use only the information reasonably necessary for that purpose.
Where an enquiry develops into a formal membership process or another relationship governed by wider United Grand Lodge of England or Provincial arrangements, additional privacy information may apply at that stage.
4. Who receives your information
Enquiries are made available only to those Lodge officers or members who reasonably need the information in order to deal with the enquiry. We do not sell personal information submitted through this website.
The website uses third-party service providers to deliver the service:
- Cloudflare provides website hosting, content delivery, DNS and security infrastructure.
- Web3Forms processes contact-form submissions and forwards them to the Lodge’s designated recipient mailbox. Web3Forms states that it does not retain form submissions as a submission database, although server logs may be retained temporarily.
5. International processing
Some of the technology providers used by this website operate infrastructure outside the United Kingdom. In particular, Web3Forms states that its form-processing servers are located in the United States. This means information submitted through the contact form may be processed outside the UK.
Kendrick Lodge will keep its use of third-party processors under review and should maintain appropriate contractual and international-transfer arrangements where required by UK data-protection law.
6. How long we keep information
We keep website enquiries only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry and any resulting Lodge administration, and for any period reasonably required to establish or defend legal claims or meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Enquiries that no longer have an administrative, legal or membership purpose should be deleted or securely disposed of.
7. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, or to object to processing.
Your right to object
Where Kendrick Lodge relies on legitimate interests, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal information. We will consider your objection in accordance with UK data-protection law.
To exercise a relevant right, use the Join & Contact form and state that your message is a data-protection request. We may need enough information to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
8. Complaints
If you have concerns about how your personal information has been handled, please contact Kendrick Lodge first so that we can try to resolve the matter. You also have the right to complain to the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) .
9. Cookies, Google Ads and similar technologies
This website uses essential technologies needed to deliver and protect the site. We also offer optional Google Ads measurement so that Kendrick Lodge can understand whether its Google advertising leads to website visits and enquiries.
Optional Google advertising and measurement technology is disabled by default. It is enabled only after a visitor selects “Accept optional cookies” in the cookie banner. If optional cookies are rejected, the Google Ads tag is not loaded by this website.
When enabled, the Google tag (Google Ads ID AW-18454875274) may allow Google to store or access information on your device and process information about your visit for advertising measurement and related Google Ads purposes. Google may process information outside the United Kingdom. Google’s own privacy information explains its processing, retention and international-transfer arrangements.
We use this information to assess the effectiveness of our advertising, including whether advertising results in visits or an enquiry through the website. We do not require you to accept optional cookies to use the website or submit an enquiry.
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link in the website footer. Rejecting optional cookies does not affect the essential operation of the site.
10. Links to other websites
This website may link to other organisations and external websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by those organisations and their own privacy notices apply when you visit them.
11. Security
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect information submitted through the website. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so visitors should avoid submitting information that is unnecessary for the purpose of their enquiry.
12. Changes to this notice
This notice should be reviewed when the website, contact-form provider, analytics, hosting arrangements or the Lodge’s use of enquiry information changes. The date at the top of this page identifies the current published version.
